Not in Vain
By Emily Dickinson:
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
This is my interpretation of her poem:
If I can help somebody
With their problems
I will be happy...
If I can make somebody's
Life comfortable,
And ease their pain,
Or if I can help
little helpless creature,
Unto his feet again.
Then my life have meaning...
